Thermal Food Carriers Recalled for Poisoning
January 27th 2012 -
55,000 “Travelin’ Chef Expandable Thermal Food Carriers” were recently recalled because they could lead to poisoning if their gel was consumed. As a Greenville personal injury lawyer, I hope nobody is harmed by this defective product. The Consumer Product Safety Commission warned the gel, which contains diethylene glycol and ethylene glycol, could leak resulting in possible injuries. So far to date there have been no injuries associated with this recalled product. These food carries were sold in Walmart stores for approximately $22 between the months of August 2008 and December 2011. The recalled product is a four-piece set, with a specific code printed on it. Customers are urged to discontinue using this product and contact a nearby waste disposal authority for information on how to properly dispose of it. Customers can also return the product to Walmart, directly, for a refund. The product was produced by California Innovations.
If you, or a loved one, was harmed by an unsafe product, you might want to consider getting in touch with a lawyer immediately to find out if you have a case.
